This week I put on my investigative journalist hat and diva dove into questions around AI.
We’ve all heard about AI, we all know about ChatGPT and we all make jokes about the robot uprising. But how true is all of it?
This week for our Ath-dditional Notes, I am putting my nerd glasses on and giving y’all the diva download on AI.
AI or artificial intelligence isn’t new, it’s been around for years. As a tech journo I’ve written article after article on the tech because it was being used by Microsoft, Google, Facebook etc but you just didn’t know about it.
For example, your Instagram algorithm is powered by machine learning which is a form of AI. So everytime you keep on watching fan edits of Zac Efron in High School Musical the feed will keep on giving it to you. (No shade, I get it).
When ChatGPT launched late in 2022, it became the poster child for AI and AI came into the consumer consciousness in early 2023. Then every man and his dog were talking about AI, whether it was good, bad or ugly.
As someone who is all about finding out the tea, I thought I would do some digging for you and get the 411 on AI.
This week I spent some time at Cisco Live in Melbourne, and I gave myself a mission: ask the common questions that everyone has about AI so we can find out if we have to start making offerings to our robot overlords.
