Ahoy, mateys. It's time to set sail on the seas of pop culture. On today’s big voyage, we have SNL 50 highlights, BAFTAs, Bravo, and Chappell Roan. It’s all happening!
Also, if you can pretty please fill out this survey for me, it’s on future content and I would love to hear your thoughts and feelings. Fill it out here.
Let’s get this pop culture cruise going!
SNL 50: Domingo, Kimmy K and Ryan Reynolds
Over the weekend, SNL held its 50th anniversary show. It was filled with old SNL alums, celebrity cameos, sketches, performances, and, you guessed it, Domingo.
There were notable absences from Timothee Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and Bill Hader. The first two were at the BAFTAs, but I have no idea where SNL icon Bill Hader was.
I’m not going to recap the entire thing, it was 2.5 hours, however here are some highlights:
Ryan Reynolds being asked by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, “How’s it going?”. He replies with “Great, why what have you heard?” If you look below you can see Blake Lively looking v unimpressed. (ICYMI: learn more about why this is funny here.)
The continuation of the Domingo Cinematic Universe, where we meet Domingo’s brothers, Ronaldo and the “Hot Brother” played by Pedro Pascal and Bad Bunny. Also, Sabrina Carpenter needs to host ASAP.

BAFTAs aka the British Oscars Winners
The Oscars are merely weeks away and before they air we get a new awards show weekly, such fun! This week, we have the BAFTAs aka the UK Oscars. For those who are punting on the Oscars, whoever wins a BAFTA usually gets the same trophy at The Academy Awards too.
Best Film: Conclave
Leading Actress: Mikey Madison, Anora
Leading Actor: Adrien Brody, The Brutalist
Best Supporting Actress: Zoe Saldaña, Emilia Pérez
Best Supporting Actor: Kieran Culkin, A Real Pain
Director: Brady Corbet, The Brutalist
Full list of winners can be seen here.
As some added fun, watch David Tennant kick of the BAFTAs in a kilt singing his own rendition of 500 Miles. It’s glorious.
Chappell giving the giver
Your artist’s favourite artist, Chappell Roan, is about to drop her new single, The Giver. We’ve already heard the full thing via SNL last year, but now it’s officially about to be released.
Overnight, Chappell appeared on billboards around the US, showing Miss Roan as a lawyer advocating herself as “your ex’s worst nightmare”. Naturally, this is a plug for her single, but can someone tell me if the phone number: 620-hot-to-go actually works?
I have a feeling the single will be out on Friday…
Addison Rae is High Fashion, baby
Addison is an influencer, an artist and now an anti-drug advocate! Her new single, High Fashion is about saying no to drugs, alcohol and bad men and saying yes to fashion. In this day and age, it’s hard to find good role models these days, good on you Addison!
Have your own KUTWK moment (for a small fee)
If you have a spare US$13.5m and are desperate to live in LA’s Hidden Hills, may I suggest buying the old Keeping Up With The Kardashians mansion?
Filled with many memories, you can traipse up and down the famous split staircase in the foyer, and if you walk the halls at night, you might be able to hear Kylie’s voice saying: “Is that a chicken?!”.
Sadly, you won’t be able to reenact the infamous fight between Kim and Kourt, because that was at Kourt’s home.
Bravo, Bravo, and more Bravo
I normally don’t report on rumours and whispers because I am a TRUTH teller, but this one is a bit too juicy to ignore. If you are a Housewives fan and if these rumours are true, you’re about to be FED.
There is a slate of new confirmed shows coming to Bravo/Hayu like Love Hotel. But, there may be two new Housewives franchises: Real Housewives of Seattle and Real Housewives of Rhode Island. These aren’t the most glamorous cities like NYC or Beverly Hills. But, if they’re anything like Potomac or Salt Lake City, we will be having a very good time and maybe one federal indictment!
